Alright, this morning, I was struck with a random map idea. Here's some details:
-The map is an RPG. There are seven humans and one computer-controlled "monster" player. Every player who survives till the end of a timer wins, but the real winner is whoever has the most XP at the end of the timer. Allies are worth a large amount of XP, and there is nothing in place to prevent you from BSing your allies.
-Each player is a child of one of the Olympian gods of Greek mythology, or Hades. Children of Artemis or Hera are not playable, because Artemis is a virgin and Hera never had any affairs because she is the goddess of marriage.
-You have 20 spells in total: Four offensive (Protoss Gateway), four defensive (Protoss Stargate), three supportive (Protoss Robotics Facility), and nine ultimate (Zerg Hatchery). Ultimate spells have a 15-second cooldown.
However, this is a bit of a problem, as I am already working on a map,
Custom Dropship Wars. I haven't made much progress on it yet, and I'm not sure which concept I like better, so I turn to you, the community, for advice on which map I should make first.

Uhm, what more do you need to know about CDW? I've already explained everything there is about it. As for Demigod, I already said I only thought of it this morning, so I don't have any more details. Well, except random things like Son of Zeus is a High Templar and Son of Poseidon can summon a warhorse.
Anyway, it seems like people want CDW more, so I'll probably go with that. Can someone lock this in 24 hours?
None.
I intend to change that. And I'll be releasing something VERY soon.
I know I have a bad record when it comes to finishing stuff. But that's the past. In the past, I had a very bizarre mental disorder that made it nigh impossible to do anything. That is no longer true.

Epic post is epic. TZ seems to have the case of too many ideas and not enough maps, which is 99% of SEN.

20 spells for each player? I'm assuming they don't vary from player to player. Even if they don't, it still is bloody hard to make even 10 totally functionally-original spells in SC that don't feel like crap (i.e. summon casters).
None.
You already started custom dropship wars.
OMFGBBQWTF finish it already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
None.
EPIC BURN.
TZ, I would be glad to see you finish AT LEAST ONE project. Stop posting so many 'maps i'm making' if you never complete. Also, no offense but I don't think you're capable of 20 x 7 spells. That's ~50 more than In my map, and mine were hard enough to devise for someone who has experience finishing maps with spells...
None.
Uhm. There's 11 characters, for one thing. Secondly, I know that it'll be hard, but there's a few "classes" of spells I've never seen used. I call them Greed spells, Nullification spells, and Manipulation spells. More information will be available when I post the topic for Demigod. Also, I will be re-using a few spells (eg. most characters will have a long-ranged and short-ranged damage spell) and stealing spells from DotA and an old AoS mod project that never got past the concept phase.
Anyway, I guess people prefer CDW, so this can be locked.

Send me PM about these spells, they sound similar to ones i've seen or used before..

I wonder who else an epic post like this would work on?
Guys, let's be a bit more constructive here. Let's not re-quote the same post - the point has been made. Contribute to the discussion at hand or don't post at all.

Start with some basics, ignore aesthetics (strings, terrain) get some basic trigger systems done, then go into more detail.

This can be locked, if anyone wants to do so.
Btw, to those of you who say there's too many spells in my Demigod idea, I was bored and didn't have access to SCMD, so I finished the concepting for Son of Zeus. Took about an hour or so. Not too bad.
